Young Asset Protection Announces Western Pennsylvania Charity Event to Raise Support for the Children’s Tumor Foundation

1 in 3000 children struggle with Neurofibromatosis, like Roman, but countless other young people in our area are dealing with similar disorders and they need all the help our community can give them

Young Asset Protection, a regional insurance and financial management firm serving residential and business clients throughout western Pennsylvania, is joining forces with the Children’s Tumor Foundation for a charity drive to help raise awareness and support for children battling chronic disorders.

One such child, an 8 year old local boy named Roman, was diagnosed in late 2014 with Neurofibromatosis (NF). This rare disorder produces rapidly expanding tumors along the spine that affect nerve function, resulting in deafness, blindness, paralysis, or abnormal growth. This charity event aims to generate donations and community support for research into treatments and cures for disorders like NF.

“1 in 3000 children struggle with Neurofibromatosis, like Roman, but countless other young people in our area are dealing with similar disorders and they need all the help our community can give them,” says Megan Young, director and principal agent of Young Asset Protection.

Young and her team have launched a massive social media and email campaign to connect with supporters, health care practitioners, and other families in the area affected by chronic diseases like NF.
