ANAHEIM – The Anaheim Convention Center’s seventh expansion, a $190 million effort offering 200,000 more square feet to lure more conventioneers, trade show attendees and others to town, opens Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Inside the towering glass-structure wing, natural light flows in on the blue carpet that has designs resembling palm tree fronds. On the top floor, a massive patio juts out to overlook Katella Avenue and the back side of Disney California Adventure.

After two years of construction, the newest space – dubbed Anaheim Convention Center North, or simply ACC North – is open for business.

“We’re continuing to grow and show that Anaheim is a convention destination,” said Tom Morton, executive director of convention, sports and entertainment for the city.
