Westminster holds vigil for 17-year city employee shot and killed in Seal Beach apartment – Orange County Register

WESTMINSTER — The clock tower at the Civic Center here became an epicenter of grieving, reflection and remembrance Wednesday night, Aug. 2, in the face of tragedy.

A vigil was held there in honor of Amanda Jensen, 37, Garden Grove resident, mother of three, and the city clerk of Westminster.

Jensen died July 16 in a Seal Beach apartment after being shot three times by her ex-boyfriend, Los Alamitos police Capt. Rick Moore, who then shot himself, Seal Beach police have said. Jensen’s and Moore’s bodies lay dead for hours inside the apartment on Seventh Street while Seal Beach SWAT, unsure if anyone was alive inside, treated it as a barricade situation.

The situation roiled all three communities.
