The seventh season of “Game of Thrones” kicks off Sunday, and it’s one that family-friendly audiences could watch in the future.
In June, VidAngel announced a change to its service that allows people to stream filtered content normally seen on third-party apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime users can also now stream filtered versions of HBO shows, which includes “Game of Thrones.” When new episodes to the show are available for streaming on Amazon Prime’s HBO content, people subscribed to VidAngel can filter out violent and sexual scenes.
“Game of Thrones” is a political drama occurring inside the fictional world of Westeros. While the politics of the world rage on, a sleeping giant in the form of White Walkers, basically snow zombies, await to be awaken and descend upon Westeros.
And it seems Utahns, in general, have a favorite “Game of Thrones” character.

House of Stark had the most popular search in general, topping 24 states.
Meanwhile, the Lannister house topped only 10 states. The Targaryen house led the way in nine states.
Smaller houses, like those of Greyjoy and Baratheon, led the way in two states.
“Game of Thrones” has faced criticism over the last few years for its display of sexual content and violence.
As the Deseret News reported, Dawn Hawkins, executive director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, said in a statement in April 2016 that show has “salacious depictions of sexual assault.”
