Digital signature verification is the most important aspect of signing your documents digitally. If you receive any documents then you must check for the authenticity to discard any impending fraud case. Don’t get upset it’s not a rocket science but it just involves a few simpler steps to do the digital signature verification.
In your pdf document the signature validity is done by checking the authenticity of the signature’s digital ID certificate status and the integrity of your document. Authenticity verification confirms that the signer’s certificate exist in the validator’s list of trusted identities. It confirms whether the signing certificate is valid based on the user’s Acrobat or Reader configuration. Document integrity verification confirms whether the signed content changed after it was signed. If however, the content changes the document integrity verification confirms whether the content changed in a manner permitted by the signer.
To verify that your digital certificate is received or signed from a trusted source, you have to follow these steps:
1.Click on the Signatures tab on the left side of this document.
2.Left click on the option show properties.
3.Click on Show Certificate. (Sometimes you must click Verify Signature on this screen before you can click on Show Certificate)
4.Click on the Trust tab.
5.Click on Add to Trusted Identities and click OK to confirm.
6.Click OK to confirm.
