The Tim Trent Agency, a regional provider of insurance and financial preparation assistance serving communities in the greater Charleston metropolitan area, is launching a joint charity effort with the Covenant House of West Virginia to provide direct services to those in need and improve social realities in the region.

The Covenant House of West Virginia offers a host of services to individuals and families in crisis, including emergency shelter, assistance with bills or utilities, and a food bank service for those facing food insecurity. As well, the organization works to advocate for social change with a series of educational workshops and consistent advocacy efforts.

“Together, our community can accomplish anything, and we’re working with the Covenant House to help ensure that all families in our area are able to live full and dignified lives free of suffering or injustice,” says Tim Trent, executive director and founder of the Tim Trent Agency.

To help promote the charity effort and raise awareness of ongoing social issues in the Charleston community, Trent and his team are connecting with regional community leaders and policy makers through an ongoing social media and email campaign. Further efforts to gather support for the initiative will include a full length feature article detailing the efforts of the Covenant House of West Virginia which will be published in a soon to be released edition of “Our Hometown,” an online magazine published by the Tim Trent Agency: http://timtrentagency.com/magazines/.

This is the first charity drive launched by the Tim Trent Agency since the firm became a regional representative of the nationwide “Agents of Change” community support coalition. As committed members of this movement, Trent and his team will be launching additional charity events benefitting a number of other causes in the Charleston area.
