Roger Janik stated, “We’ve setup a voting poll so that after a person donates, they can immediately vote and have a voice in exactly which charitable organization they would like the donation of crypto or fiat currency to go to.”

As the entire country and world knows by now, hurricane Harvey has had devastating effects across Texas and Louisiana. The lives impacted number in the hundreds of thousands and the estimated amount it will take to rebuild tops $150 billion. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has released stern advice as to what charitable organizations are legitimate and what to watch out for when donating.
Search for Good is a Houston based 501c3 foundation which awards grants to charitable organizations that provide food, shelter and health services throughout the world. Because of Hurricane Harvey, they are currently accepting donations of money and crypto currency, also known as digital currency. Now you can donate Bitcoin, Ethereum or other Ethereum standard tokens to help those impacted by Harvey to rebuild.
Billions of dollars are being traded in crypto currency today. Enabling this type of currency for donation is a unique feature for a charitable organization. Founder Roger Janik said, “I’m calling out to all crypto currency investors to give whatever they can to help the flood victims in the Houston area.” Janik also stated, “We’ve setup a voting poll so that after a person donates, they can immediately vote and have a voice in exactly which charitable organization they would like the donation of crypto or fiat currency to go to.” The top 3 charitable organizations voted for will get 95% of all donations made.
The special twist to donations made through Search for Good is two-fold. First, donors can select whether they want to remit their monies as dollars or crypto currency. Second, upon donating, they will be asked to vote from a list of 9 charities and the top 3 selected will receive the donations taken in. The nine charities to select from are as follows:
1. Rebuild Texas
2. Global Giving
3. Direct Relief
4. Houston Food Bank
5. Feeding Texas
6. Montgomery County Food Bank…
