“The White House has proposed a plan to drastically slash the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) budget next year. Maryland taxpayers have invested enormous sums of money to restore and protect oyster reefs, reduce polluted runoff and improve water quality. The progress made by those efforts is in jeopardy.” said Evan Thalenberg, founder and president of the Chesapeake BaySavers. “It’s important to bring together those affected by these decisions with our governmental policy makers to discuss how we can safeguard our Chesapeake Bay.”
