Simple Recipes for every KitchenAid Mixer

Lets use that newly acquired KitchenAid Artisan standing mixers! Here are a couple of yummy easy-to-do recipes to try out that great standing mixer you just got! Whip out the three attachments that came with the mixer, and let’s get the party started.

Cream Cheese Tartlets

Shred a half cup of Swiss cheese, first, to start with the recipe. You would also need a cup of flour, a can of mushrooms, a quarter teaspoon of thyme, half a cup of chopped green onions, half a stick of regular salted butter, and 113 grams of light cream cheese.

Put the butter and the light cream cheese into the KitchenAid stainless mixing bowl. Mix the two for about a minute – making sure the speed of the mixer is at “4”. Add the flour to it, and mix for another minute at “2” speed setting. Scrape the mix off with a spatula and form into a dough ball.

Up to twenty tartlet pieces can be made from this dough. With some olive oil on a hot pan, cook the other remaining ingredients. Observe the onions, when it becomes tender and moist it means the mushrooms are also done. Mix in an egg and a small dash of flour, on speed setting “6”.

Now we mix the egg, for about 60 seconds. Add the mushrooms, thyme, and onions, then mix. Add the shredded cheese, then mix, this time only using the spatula.

Ready your tartlets, put appropriate amount of the mix on top of it. Bake until tartlets are cooked – about 18 minutes should do it. Make sure the oven temperature is below 375 degrees (Fahrenheit).

Spicy-Sweet Barbecue Sauce

A second simple recipe to make with your trusty KitchenAid mixer is a simple-to-make Spicy-Sweet Barbecue Sauce. This Spicy-Sweet Sauce is handy for a quick and unexpected barbecue dinner. It’s good for anything; beef, pork, chicken, turkey, even fish!

Ingredients are easy to find: one cup tomato sauce, one and a half tablespoon of yellow mustard, a quarter cup of brown sugar, a dash of black pepper, one and a half tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, and a quarter cup of red onions.

Place all ingredients into the stainless steel KitchenAid bowl that came with your KitchenAid Artisan. Mix for about one minute. Make sure the speed setting is on “6”.

After mixing it all, add 3 tablespoons of olive oil into a heated pan. With the pan is appropriately hot (moderate), put in the mixture and lower the flame. Cook the sauce for at least 20 minutes in low temperature.
