This weekend marks the 40th year for the San Antonio Catholic Church Fiesta, which opens Friday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. The community is invited.
There will be an opening ceremony at 5:30 p.m. and the Fiesta will close the first night at 10:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 2 until 10:30 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 8 p.m.
The church grounds will transform into a carnival with rides and lots of games for all ages, as well as live entertainment. Food booths will feature a variety of cuisine items from around the globe.
Additionally, bingo, a silent auction full of exciting items, drawings and prizes will be offered throughout the event.
Entertainment starts Friday evening with Stone Soul at 5 p.m. Other bands planned include Cosmic Reactions and The Creepers on Saturday. Sunday’s entertainment closes with performances by the Like Zepplin and Wight Litening.
Don’t miss the chance to visit The Monk’s Closet during the Fiesta for gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and accessories.
An extra special feature this year includes a 40th anniversary commemorative cup available for $5 that includes free refills all weekend.

All proceeds help fund San Antonio Church’s various ministries such as youth, young adults, family assistance and local community outreach.
Hephatha childhood program celebrates 40 years
Hephatha Lutheran Church and School celebrates a milestone on Sept. 24 with the 40th anniversary of its Early Childhood Program. The community is invited to attend the 11 a.m. worship service and celebration.
This is a great time for alumnae, former teachers or others who have had a connection with Hephatha over the past 40 years to come join the fun.

Assistance League Auxiliary hosting membership tea
