San Antonio Catholic Church will host its annual garage sale from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4 and until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, on the church grounds.
Shoppers will find a great variety of items including furniture, small and large appliances, household goods, hardware, tools, books, baby items, toys and much more, all at bargain prices.
The Monk’s Closet, which uses rooms 1 and 2, features brand named clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children at great prices from 10 cents to $10.
The Monk’s Closet will also be open Mondays through Saturdays until The Fiesta on Sept.15-17. Call the church office for the hours.
Be sure to stop by the Monk’s Alley during the garage sale where you can peruse collectibles such as named-brand crystal, china and jewelry, as well as antiques from early 1900s.
Proceeds from the garage sale help the church fund its many ministries such as youth ministries, young adults, family assistance as well as local outreach within the community.

***Mental health grant funding workshop series at library
Canyon Hills Library will offer a series of workshops “Building Your Wellness Toolkit” on Aug. 8, 9 and 14 at the branch.
These classes were made possible through a mental health grant the Anaheim Public Library received recently.
At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8, “Embracing Change: A look into Healthy Transitions” will be presented. This is a chance to view change as an opportunity for growth rather than something to fear and is suggested for students, parents or anyone going through major life changes.
At noon on Wednesday, Aug. 9, the series offers “13 Reasons We Need to Communicate,” which is suggested for adults and teens. This class offers healthy ways to navigate through difficulty, how to identify someone possible at risk, ways to communicate and improve relationships.
Then, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, stress management will be the focus with suggestions for positive strategies to manage the toxic effects of stress, and which coping skills are healthy and those that are detrimental.
Contact the library at 714-765-6442 for additional information.
