“Walk Well the Winding Way” provides relevant verses of Scripture, a hymn and a brief prayer, all with the intention that the reader will learn to live triumphantly in this world.
Published author Jim Barnes is a well-known singer/songwriter/storyteller who has traveled all over New Hampshire, presenting his original “New Hampshire-flavored” music to audiences large and small, young and old. A solo performer, Jim accompanies himself on six and twelve string guitar and banjo, with a rare stint on the mandolin.
Jim has appeared in a variety of venues, from Summer concerts, Old Home Days, Senior Centers, concert stages and schools as well as Assisted Living and nursing facilities. His music has often been featured on the radio, most particularly on WTPL, 107.7, the Pulse, broadcasting from Concord, NH.
Rev. Jim has been engaged in Pastoral ministry for a number of years, serving as Pastor of Loudon Freewill Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Brentwood and the Chocorua Community Church, where he has been ministering since 2015. Rev. Jim has recently begun ministry as Pastor of the Brentwood Baptist church, Brentwood, NH. This is Rev. Jim’s first book, following on the heels of his four CD’s of New Hampshire flavored music, one CD of traditional Irish music and the reading of an audio book, the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.
Barnes states, “We can find the Lord in the context of everyday, ordinary objects, things that we touch and handle, think about, see and read, for they too belong to the Lord, and as such, provide rich teaching for our daily lives.
It is with this simple understanding that this book is undertaken: to demonstrate the presence of God in all things, for the blessing of all who are willing to seek, for surely in the seeking, there will also be finding.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Jim Barnes’s new book allows any follower of God to see past the ordinary and find the extraordinary qualities in everything as it belongs to the Lord.
