Frank Zammataro, CEO & Founder, of Rentricity Inc., will participate in the Western Small Hydro Association (WESHA) Workshop being held as part of the HydroVision 2017 (June 27 – 30) at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
The WESHA 2017 energy recovery hydropower workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning more about energy recovery hydropower, the most cost-effective type of new hydropower development, which captures mechanical energy available in existing water supply infrastructure. Along with other emerging companies, Frank will highlight Rentricity’s energy recovery hydropower capabilities and case studies within drinking water and irrigation water systems. “Energy recovery hydropower is the next major area of innovation within the water-energy nexus that focuses on upgrading water infrastructure with smart, sustainable and resilient technology” said Frank. “Adding in-pipe hydropower technologies to all future water projects will support energy neutral water operations in the years ahead.” he added.
Kurt Johnson, president of WESHA, believes the workshop will add a unique component for water operators that typically think of hydropower as technology deployed at reservoirs typically fraught with regulation. “Now water operators have a new option to use filtered and treated water already in pipelines for cost effective energy recovery” he said.
