An Ohio K-12 school district pulls in a national Best Education Website award for its form and function by the Web Marketing Association.

The site, designed and hosted by Columbus-based eSchoolView was named the 2017 winner from thousands of entries. Chagrin Falls Schools was one of just two public K-12 school systems among the 19 educational organizations recognized in the national awards program. Intuitive navigation, an emphasis on crisp graphics and a prominent photo gallery are key elements to the new design. Less emphasis on text also increases interaction between the site and end-user.

The Web Marketing Association announces the winners of its 21th annual WebAward Competition for Web site development. Entries in 96 industry categories were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology. “We work to create sites that build relationships and trust,” eSchoolView Executive Director Rob O’Leary said. “The opportunity to create a method to efficiently and effectively share information between and among staff, parents and the community is one we take quite seriously.”

eSchoolView has served Chagrin Falls Schools for about seven years. The site redesign was launched just before the start of the 2016-17 school year and deepens the district’s ability to connect with its community.

The mobile performance of Chagrin Falls Schools’ site also improved dramatically with eSchoolView’s responsive design. It is now optimized to display on a variety of platforms and devices, eliminating the need for duplicate data entries in order to manage two sites.
