Pioneer Millworks to Present on Wood Reclamation and the Triple Bottom Line at Decon + Reuse ’17 in Portland, Oregon

With nearly 30 years in the reclaimed and sustainable wood industry, Pioneer Millworks will share experience and information on reusing wood from a wood buyer’s perspective at a Decon + Reuse ’17 session on Monday, September 25, 2017. They will host an additional session to present the objectives and business structure of operating as a Triple Bottom Line company on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

  • Monday, September 25, 2017 from 10:15 am to 10:45am: “Advice from a Wood Buyer” will be presented by Jonathan Taylor, Operations Manager of Pioneer Millworks, McMinnville Oregon location.
  • Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 9am to 9:30am: “The for profit reclaimed wood company: A Triple Bottom Line perspective” will be presented by Jonathan Orpin, Founder and President of Pioneer Millworks and New Energy Works Timberframers.

Decon + Reuse ’17 is the premier international conference on building deconstruction, materials reuse, and C&D recycling with practitioners from around the world. The conference is back in Portland, Oregon this year with the BMRA offering three tracks of exemplary speakers, unique training opportunities, tours of local reuse features, and an awards banquet to honor the national and local leaders of the industry.
