Open Mesh Achieves New Milestone

We’re making it easy for professionals to build great wired and wireless networks just about anywhere.

Open Mesh, a Datto company, announced that it now manages more than 100,000 networks in their cloud, with 31 million users connecting monthly. Open Mesh makes it easy to set up and manage WiFi networks across large sites and in multiple locations. To celebrate this milestone, Open Mesh is giving away a free S8 cloud-managed switch with every four A Series WiFi access points purchased through the end of September.

“This achievement shows Open Mesh has the capacity to satisfy the increasing demands for affordable and easy to manage WiFi for businesses worldwide,” said Ryan Detwiller, General Manager, Open Mesh. “We’re making it easy for professionals to build great wired and wireless networks just about anywhere.”

Open Mesh access points can be deployed easily indoors and outdoors to create seamless, professional WiFi networks in minutes, which users can manage from anywhere with no recurring fees. Open Mesh has been a pioneer in mesh networking technology, recently made popular in the consumer space by products like Eero, Luma and Google WiFi.

While Open Mesh is best known for cloud-managed mesh WiFi, the company also introduced a line of switches in late 2016. Today the company is pleased to announce an update to this line, with new 8 and 24 port options priced up to 40% less than current models. The S8-L and S24-L are available today from distributors and Open Mesh directly. Open Mesh switches are fully managed in the cloud and are tightly integrated with the existing WiFi devices, enabling more comprehensive network management in a single portal.

“We’re solving WiFi issues for businesses around the world, and we’ve seen tremendous growth. We know there is a large demand for affordable WiFi solutions, and our unique focus on ease of use for both the service provider and the end user stands out in the industry,” added Detwiller. “Millions of users every month access WiFi through an Open Mesh access point while working, shopping, eating out and traveling. And that number continues to grow.”
