Online Business Opportunity – How to Build Your Prospect List

The rule number one for any online business to succeed is it should receive an adequate amount of traffic. The term adequate traffic is entirely subjective and can mean different things to different businesses. For example, if you are selling relatively low-priced products online, you would want the maximum number of people to visit your site. On the other hand, if you are selling used cars at high margins, even 50 unique visitors everyday could be enough. But the problem is, most of your visitors will NEVER buy from you on their first visit.

That is precisely why you should maintain a prospect list! A prospect list can easily be created by offering something free in return for a name and an email address. This can be done by sending the visitor to a landing page, which BRIEFLY tells him the benefits of your service and asks for contact info for a FREE detailed report or trial service.

You should connect the form to an auto-responder service of your choice, such as GetResponse. Now I know this aspect can get a little technical, so either you have to know a little HTML or you can hire some professional help.

Creating a prospect list can take a considerable amount of time but once you have a few thousand people in your list, you can generate massive income by:

1. Promoting your own product

2. Promoting OTHER peoples product i.e. being an affiliate.

3. Sending infrequent broadcasts to your prospects in order to get their attention to a specific topic.

Most successful  online business owners do just that! They create a huge list and promote various products, generating huge returns!

Sure, building a prospect list does take a lot of time, but it is well worth-it in the long run. Ideally, you would want to have at least 500 people on your list by within 12 months. This number is very much achievable but you do have to act consistently to make it happen.
