New library and arts center expected to be a central hub for Yorba Linda residents – Orange County Register

Yorba Linda residents could be using a new library by 2020 if the project gets a needed approval this month.

The Planning Commission last week gave its nod for building the library along with an arts center on a vacant field across from the under-development Town Center retail district.

The City Council is expected to consider the proposal on Aug. 15; if approved, the city will push forward with the design process. The project could break ground by the fall of 2018, said Library Director Carrie Lixey.
