National Association of Professional Women Inducts Dr. E. Jean Woods, Dentist at Community Smiles, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

I have improved dental care and overall quality of life in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro and Durham, NC, communities.

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Dr. E. Jean Woods as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in dentistry. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I’m pleased to welcome Dr. Woods into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

For more than 25 years, Dr. E. Jean Woods has been providing the highest level of dental care to patients in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro and Durham, NC, areas. Through her family dental practice Community Smiles, she has made lifelong connections to her patients, many of whom she has been treating for years.

“I have improved dental care and overall quality of life in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro and Durham, NC, communities,” Dr. Woods said. Her areas of expertise include preventative care, cosmetic dentistry, emergency dentistry, bonding, bridges, crowns, dentures, implants, snoring prevention, teeth whitening, veneers and oral infections. Recently, she opened a second practice, A+ Dental, in Caswell County, NC.

In addition to her practices, Dr. Woods works tirelessly giving back to the community and mentoring young people. She is the Founder of the Jean Woods Foundation, which provides dental care and funding for scholarships, and educational and environmental projects locally, nationally and internationally. “I also provide grants to many international foundations, and both government and non-government organizations for a variety of charitable purposes,” she said. “I enjoy serving as a mentor to many teenagers and young adults, and have sacrificed to make sure they have the same opportunities as other privileged kids in the area.”
