Davis Company, is the winner of The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International’s (STTI) 2017 International Award for Nursing Excellence, The Capstone International Book Award. This award recognizes the excellence of one outstanding nursing book published by or for nurses in support of the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in healthcare worldwide. The award will be presented during STTI’s 44th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana this fall.
Founded in 1922 by six nurses at the Indiana University Training School for Nurses, which is now the Indiana University School of Nursing, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the mission of The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International is advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. STTI’s International Awards for Nursing Excellence are based on the society’s dedication to fostering high professional nursing standards, recognizing superior achievement, developing leadership, and encouraging creative work. Awards are conferred to nurses each biennium for contributions in the fields of technology, media, chapter excellence, research, leadership, and practice.
