Other Side of the Dunes was formed as a charity committed to giving back to those Veterans who paid such a high price for our freedom. It does so by giving these heroes back some of their freedom by donating All-Terrain Beach Wheelchairs.
Other Side of the Dunes is a Veteran run 501c3 charity committed to bettering the lives of America’s most deserving group; our paralyzed Veterans who’ve paid such a high price to keep us free. Their goal is to provide access to opportunities and locations that their injuries have made very difficult if not impossible. Having a board made up of mostly Veterans, they are keenly aware of the difficulties that these Warriors face as they attempt to reintegrate into a “normal” life. In addition to providing custom built, motorized beach wheelchairs to selected Veterans, they will expand into other entertaining, fun and quality of life improving ventures. While Other Side of the Dunes continues striving to change lives, they promise to be good stewards with the generosity that so many have and will no doubt continue to show. “We are forever grateful for the bravery, the dedication and the sacrifice that these Military Veterans have selflessly shown, and will strive every day to let them know how much it means,” stated Eric Wooten, Creator of the charity. “One Veteran at a time, we’ll see you on the Other Side of the Dunes!”

Other Side of the Dunes schedules several donation events each year to award beach wheelchairs to selected Veterans. The next donation event is set for September 9, 2017 at the Bay Harbor Inn in Tampa, FL. The chair for this event will be donated to Veterans and Athletes of Virginia Beach, VA. These special beach wheelchairs are manufactured and donated by Chance Blaker and Beach ‘N Buggy’s of Foley, AL. See the “Hammerhead” chair in use here:
