Linda F. Wiley, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and life-long student in both academics and spiritual teachings, has completed her new book “Blessings and Promises”: a Christian devotional that is a useful tool in unlocking the meaning behind the blessings and promises Jesus made during his Sermon on the Mount.
According to Wiley, “The subject of this book was, basically, chosen for me by God. Have you ever felt called to do something about which you believe you know nothing? That is the way I felt when God called me and told me to write a book. So, I thought I would compromise and write a short “Devotional Style” book, printing a few copies myself for family members. Tell me, have you ever tried to argue with God? Trust me, you will never, no never win. Consequently, when I started writing, the words continued to flow and it became a book, albeit a very short book. My hope is that you may draw something from it that will be of help to you in your Christian walk with Jesus by your side.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Linda F. Wiley’s spiritual work focuses on the Beatitudes of the Bible and studying their true meaning.
Wiley has always enjoyed writing poetry, some of it political, some Christian, and some rather controversial. She has also been active in several different churches of different denominations, having taught Sunday School and Bible School, sung in the choirs, and participated in other discussions in the churches. So, when she was compelled to write a book she was naturally drawn to the teachings of the Bible, and helping others to understand its lessons.
Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase “Blessings and Promises” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Kobo, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
