Late mistakes cost Kings in loss to Rangers – Orange County Register

NEW YORK — The Kings knew they could do better than their listless effort in New Jersey to open their four-game trip and they delivered on that Friday night. Mistakes against the New York Rangers still kept them from breaking back into the win column, though.

Rick Nash created a turnover in the neutral zone and scored on a breakaway to snap a tie with 3:27 left in regulation to lift the Rangers to an eventual 4-2 victory over the Kings at Madison Square Garden.
