King’s Fish House at aging Laguna Hills Mall plans temporary closure for remodel – Orange County Register

With a massive transformation underway at the aging Laguna Hills Mall, tenant King’s Fish House is temporarily closing one of its most successful restaurants for a makeover.

The closure, which will likely happen in September, impacts roughly 92 employees at the restaurant. King’s Fish House, next to In-N-Out Burger, is a free-standing building outside the mall. Of the 11 King’s Fish House restaurants in Southern California, the Laguna Hills restaurant is one of the best performers, in terms of sales, company founder Sam King said.

But at 20-years-old, it is also one of the oldest, and in need of a makeover.
