Kia Motors America has new VP for sales; Credit Union of Southern California opens new branch – Orange County Register

Bill Peffer is the new vice president of sales for Kia Motors America in Irvine. Peffer, who joins from Balise Motor Sales – a privately-held dealership group in the Northeast, will oversee Kia’s regional and corporate sales operations in the U.S. and report to Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and executive vice president.

John Henderson has been appointed vice president and chief information officer for Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC) in Orange. Most recently, he served as an assistant vice president at Texas Children’s Hospital. He’s a member of numerous professional associations, including College Healthcare Information Management Executives, Healthcare Information & Management Systems Society, and Association for Executives Healthcare IT Applications, for which he serves on the advisory board.

Jim Young has been promoted to managing vice president in the Irvine office of Trilogy Financial Services. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Young embarked on a successful culinary career working in many of the top restaurants in Southern California. In 2001, he decided to transition into finance. Young was promoted to regional vice president in 2009 and left Irvine to open the San Mateo office, Young will oversee 18 financial advisors.

On board

Dr. James Doti the former president of Chapman University, has joined the board for the education nonprofit MIND Research Institute in Irvine. Doti also serves on the Board of Directors of Simon Foundation for Education and Housing. Based in Orange County, MIND Research Institute provides the patented game-based computer math program, ST Math®, to 3,200 public and private K-12 schools, reaching more than 1 million students across the country.
