Donates Software to Toys for Tots During Holiday Season

Their technology will allow us to have a more concise, organized list of families, making our jobs easier. -Elizabeth Cedeno, Assistant Coordinator Toys for Tots, the leading provider of ID scanning solutions, has donated their VeriScan software to a Toys for Tots program in Florida for the holiday season. For 70 years, Toys for Tots, a Marine Corps Reserves and Marine Corps Leagues non-profit program, has provided needy children with toys for Christmas.

The donated technology is’s visitor management software, VeriScan, which validates ID cards, capturing the information and auto-populating it into a database. This function streamlines operations and quickly and easily captures important information in one location. VeriScan also allows for the creation of reports and logs, which is useful for organizations like Toys for Tots.

Cedeno said before they had’s technology, Toys for Tots wrote parents’ information by hand, entering it into a computer database afterwards. Now, the ID scanning capability has allowed them to scan the driver’s licenses of parents and quickly enter their information into a database, permitting them to process over 300 parents alone on the first day of use. Cedeno says using the software allows Toys for Tots to quickly search for a parent’s name when they package toys for children.

Last year, Toys for Tots processed over 2,000 families, about 10,000 children, and over 40,000 toys in Brevard County alone.
