Huntington APA starts school year with ‘Don’t Dress for Dinner’ – Orange County Register

 

The Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts will kick off the new school year with its production of “Don’t Dress for Dinner,” a fast-paced, quick-witted comedy hosted in its black-box theater.

This production serves as the theater department’s annual fundraiser, and each show will include an hour-long pre-show with food, performances by the Music, Media and Entertainment Technology department, and opportunity baskets.

Jacob Menke, a 2016 graduate, has returned to guide the small cast of six students in his directorial debut.

Earlier this year, Menke received a text from Robert Rotenberry, chairman of the theater and acting department, inquiring about his interest in directing the show.
