Please note, the following tips and tricks are explained in reference to a Windows 8.1 PC hence the term ‘click’ has been used. If you are using Windows 8.1 on a tablet, then you just need to tab on the touch screen instead of clicking.
- Click the Windows key and the ‘C‘ key together
- This will open the Charms bar on the right-side of the screen. This command applies to both desktop as well as touch-screen device.
- In the Charms bar, click on ‘Change PC Settings’
- This will open the ‘PC settings screen’ towards the left side
