A brief look at the Chargers’ joint training-camp practice with the Rams on Saturday at StubHub Center in Carson:

Big moment

Less than three months ago, Tom Telesco explained why he made it a priority to give Melvin Ingram a long-term deal.

“If we didn’t have Melvin Ingram,” the general manager said, “we’d have a pretty big hole at pass rusher.”

On Saturday, during a joint practice with the Rams at StubHub Center, Ingram looked like he was worth the price. Receiver Keenan Allen continued resting his sore calf. Backup offensive tackle Tyreek Burwell was sidelined with an undisclosed injury.
