Is it really National Coffee Day if you can’t get free coffee from at least one coffee chain? The holiday falls on this Friday, Sept. 29 and, since your love of caffeine is recognized by all, there are some pretty sweet deals being offered at coffee shops nationwide, where you can get all the free coffee you need for little to nothing. Here are all the places you need to hit up this Friday.
National Coffee Day isn’t over until Krispy Kreme says it’s over, and because of that, the doughnut chain is turning National Coffee Day into National Coffee Weekend. From Sept. 29 up until Oct. 1, customers can head to Krispy Kreme to score a hot coffee in any size as well as a small iced coffee at participating locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Peet’s Coffee is offering up a deal in which customers who pick up any bag of coffee beans can receive 25 percent off and a free drip coffee or tea to go along with their purchase. The promo also works online, where customers can purchase a bag of coffee beans and use the code coffeeday17 to get the same discount.
7-Eleven is also extending coffee deals all into the weekend, but there’s a small catch. From Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, 7Rewards members can receive one free coffee per day.
According to a tweet from the company’s official Twitter account, Cinnabon will be giving out free 12 oz. coffees all day on Friday.
This National Coffee Day, Cumberland Farms customers can text the word FREECOFFEE to 64827 to receive a mobile coupon straight to their smartphone, which can be redeemed at any of the brand’s retail locations throughout the Northeast & Florida for a free coffee — hot or iced — in any size. In addition to that, Cumberland Farms is also bringing back Free Coffee Fridays, in which customers can stop by on any Friday beginning on Oct. 13 and receive a free coffee without a coupon.
Unfortunately if you’re looking for free coffee on National Coffee Day, Starbucks isn’t where you’ll find it. According to a release on the coffee chain’s website, instead of doling out free coffee, Starbucks will be shining a light on their ethically sourced coffee, letting customers know that buying coffee from the brand means supporting farmers.
