Helpful Tips to Prevent Hyperopia

A great diet is also a good way to prevent hyperopia and myopia. Proper and healthy food that is eaten on a daily basis helps to provide nutrients to the eyes. Lutein, zinc, vitamin C and vitamin E are all nutrients that are necessary for good eye health. Salmon, green vegetables, orange juice and eggs are all good food choices to obtain these nutrients. Omega-3 fatty acids have also been shown to improve eye health and these can be acquired by eating nuts and fish. Along with great food choices, water should be consumed in abundance to keep the entire body and eyes healthy. It is recommended that eight full glasses of water be consumed every day. The best way to drink all of this water is to split up all eight glasses throughout the day. This is a good idea to constantly hydrate the body.

A good exercise routine can keep eyes healthy as well. Exercise helps to keep the heart rate up and this increases blood flow and oxygen to the eyes. Oxygen is necessary to keep all organs running strong and this is true of eyes as well. Aerobic exercise is a good choice for eye health. Exercise should be performed at least three times a week for about thirty minutes. Water should be consumed before and after exercise routines, because rehydration is essential for eye and body health.
