FullContact today announced that Hector Rodriguez, who earned the ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), has been appointed Data Privacy Officer (DPO). A seasoned veteran in the global technology industry, Hector has spent the last 12 months assessing and planning the GDPR impact on FullContact’s customers and partners. In his role as DPO, he will consolidate all of FullContact’s privacy practices under the Customer Success organization.
The CIPP is the global standard in privacy certification. Developed and launched by the IAPP with leading subject matter experts, the CIPP is the world’s first broad-based global privacy and data protection credentialing program. The CIPP/E is the first professional credential specific to European data protection professionals that is part of a comprehensive, principles-based framework and knowledge base in information privacy. The CIPP/E encompasses pan-European and national data protection laws, the European model for privacy enforcement, key privacy terminology and practical concepts concerning the protection of personal data and trans-border data flows. Hector Rodriguez joins the ranks of an elite 10,000 professionals worldwide who currently hold one or more IAPP certifications.
“FullContact has always taken data privacy and security very seriously – we’re SOC2, PCI, CSA Star and U.S.-EU/Swiss Privacy Shield compliant. GDPR will be one of the most significant changes in data privacy and security to happen in the last 20 years, so it was important for us to have full-time staff dedicated to data privacy. We’re proud to have Hector on board as our Data Privacy Officer.”, said Bart Lorang, CEO and cofounder of FullContact.
