GYMGUYZ, an international mobile fitness concept, celebrated another successful year at its annual conference held in early September in Long Island, NY. Surrounded by more than 150 energetic franchisees, head trainers, corporate team members and vendors, CEO and Founder Josh York announced a number of strategic innovations aimed at continuing GYMGUYZ forward momentum to close out 2017 strong and enter 2018.
The franchise is celebrating one of its most successful years to date, signing 24 owners to operate 61 new territories, including its first two international franchise agreements in Canada. On track to reach its goal of 220 territories in development before the end of the year, GYMGUYZ is focusing on better serving its growing customer base with technological upgrades to their app, ongoing education for their trainers and the launch of tablets that will help better track each client’s progress and results.
“We’re always looking for new ways to stay ahead of the competition and aside from the scalability of our unique concept, our biggest leg up is our technology,” said York. “The GYMGUYZ model was built around providing a convenient solution for our customers and technology has become a vital part of the convenience cycle. In addition to an emphasized focus on technology, York also announced a new marketing campaign being spearheaded by the brand’s new hire, VP of Marketing Steve Gregersen, who brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the table working on national advertising and regional marketing for Century 21. The campaign will enhance the brand’s messaging as a convenience solution, especially for consumers struggling to find time to go to the gym.
“When you consider the rise in popularity of consumer goods that are delivered straight to your door, like takeout food for example, what’s the appeal? It’s convenience,” said Gregersen. “With GYMGUYZ, our trainers are bringing the equipment and the workout to our client’s doorsteps – eliminating the opportunity for excuses through the ease of our operation. We wanted our new marketing campaign to reflect that.”
