SAN DIEGO DEAL
If you’re bemoaning that summer’s almost over and you never took the kids to the San Diego Zoo, cheer up. If you wait until October, it’s all on sale. This will be the 6th annual “Kids Free” October in San Diego, when more than 100 attractions, museums, hotels and more offer great deals to families with kids. The zoo and safari park, for example, are completely free all month long to kids age 11 and under. Sea World is also free to kids age 9 and under. Lots more deals, too. And October is a great time to visit, when the tourists have gone home and the weather has (hopefully) cooled down. Learn more: sandiego.org/

This is part of their “Salon Series,” a monthly evening of entertaining public programming for guests of all ages. You don’t need a reservation to show up for the free admission, but if you want to participate in any of the Salon events, you do. Learn more here: queenmary.com

Goodbye, $80 massages. Just keep it away from your dog. Trust me on that one.

Save 25-50 percent on tickets, not including the $6 online purchase fee. (If you’re in Laguna already, stop by the box office to avoid this.) At this writing, they had weeknight tickets for $12 each, plus fee. To purchase, call 800-487-3378 or visit PageantTickets.com. The pageant continues through Aug. 31. Important note: Don’t go to this show if you don’t like art, and don’t drag…
