The DCS confirmed to SAfm News that Pistorius was being treated for a possible heart condition after the personnel at the Atteridgeville Prison suspected Pistorius suffered a heart attack.

Pistorius’ family spokesperson Johan van Wyk told the Citizen that he was “okay.” The former Paralympian has previously received treatment in August 2016 after he reportedly slit his wrists while in prison.

Pistorius made headlines in 2011 and 2012 when he became the first track and field athlete to compete in both the Paralympic and Olympic Games where he raced against non-disabled athletes.
