Missed Periods

By far the most common and reliable indication that indicates pregnancy is missed periods. If you have a regular cycle, and you have crossed ten more days to that, you are most likely to be pregnant. However, to be sure, it is always better to get a pregnancy test done.

Fatigue

Initial stages of pregnancy bring a lot of fatigue. You my feel tired with slightest walk or household chores. Even after a good sleep, you might feel tired and sleepy. Fatigue remains an issue till you have completed three months of your pregnancy.

Sensitive to smell

Don’t be surprised if you are troubled by the perfume your neighbor has applied. Interestingly, hyper sensitivity to smell is a very common and prominent indicator of pregnancy. You might get visibly irritated with the smell of food items, smoke, perfumes and so on. You can take it as a tip-off for a possible pregnancy.

Nausea and Vomiting

Nausea and vomiting are two most common indicators along with missed periods. It is caused because of the rising levels of hormones in the body. Nausea and vomiting are more during the early hours of the day, which is commonly known as morning sickness. Also, empty stomach may also trigger severe bouts of vomiting. For most women, this problem end by the end of 19 weeks. But in some cases, this can bother all through the pregnancy. Generally all women come across this problem at some point during their nine month long tenure. But generally, it is considered as an early and definite sign of pregnancy as nausea and vomiting are more common during the first trimester than the later stages.

Food Aversion

Can’t eat anything, even what you loved the most, don’t bother, and take it as an indication for pregnancy. First few weeks of pregnancy can drive you mad. You may not even feel like having stuff that you could pounce on at any point of time. Food aversions are very common during the first few weeks of pregnancy. Because rising levels of beta-hCG hormone, along with vomiting and nausea, distaste and dislike for food is palpable.
