Sandbanks, in Poole, Dorset, is one of the priciest places in the world thanks to its stunning harbour and beach views.
And the state-of-the-art penthouse at the newly-constructed Ace development is the latest addition to the famous peninsula.
It boasts four bedroom suites, two reception rooms, a massive bespoke kitchen, swimming pool and spa and two parking spaces.
A modest surf school and shop had previously occupied the site but this was demolished around two-to-three years ago to be replaced by the luxury Ace apartment block.
The fully furnished penthouse has 4,873 sq/ft of floor space, which is more than five times the average home, and it also has additional 3,427 sq/ft of terraces and balconies.
The master bedroom suite has a large bathroom, dressing room and doors which open onto one of the property’s terraces.
Sandbanks’ “ultimate” penthouse has just been completed and was this week put on the market for £5 million.
Steve Isaacs, director of Luxury and Prestige Realty, which is marketing the flat, said: “It is unique in terms of size and location and it is very unlikely there will be another penthouse built to this specification.
“On one side you have fantastic harbour views and on the other you have direct access to the beach.
“The penthouse has been fitted with the best of everything. You can programme the lighting remotely from anywhere in the world via your iphone.
“All of the fittings are bespoke and it is fully furnished so you can just pick up the keys and move in.
“There is a beautiful kitchen and the bathrooms all have a contemporary feel.
“It has a terrace which occupies the entire top floor and offers 360 degree views. It would be an ideal property for entertaining.
“Sandbanks has a beautiful beach right on your doorstep and the views across Poole Harbour are also pretty special.
“The apartment block also has a swimming pool, steam room and sauna which is very unusual.
“It has just been completed and we have already had interest from potential buyers on three continents.”
Land Registry figures show that the average price paid on Sandbanks is almost £1.1 million – around five times the average house in England and Wales.
With a £5 million-plus asking price the Ace penthouse is around 20 TIMES the price of a typical home. Stamp duty alone is more than £500,000.
If it achieves this, it will set a record for an apartment on Sandbanks, with publically available figures suggesting the current priciest pad in the area cost £3.7 million.
