Dignity Health Names Dr. Laurence Turner New Facility Medical Director of Freestanding Emergency Room in Glendale

Dignity Health named Dr. Laurence Turner the Facility Medical Director of Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital Emergency Room – Glendale Camelback. The facility is licensed under Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital, located in the West Valley.

“Dr. Turner is an experienced physician and will ensure our freestanding emergency room continues to deliver the highest quality care to Glendale and the surrounding communities,” said Robert “Bob” Honeycutt, President and CEO of Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital.

Dr. Turner received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. Prior to joining Dignity Health Arizona Hospital Emergency Room, Dr. Turner served as an emergency physician and Director of EMS at the Indian Health Services- Cheyenne River Service Unit in Eagle Butte, SD. He also served as an emergency physician at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, NM. Dr. Turner is board certified in family medicine and has over 15 years of clinical experience.

The Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital Emergency Room is a full-service emergency room, licensed by the state, and open 24-7. The facility is staffed by board-certified physicians, emergency trained registered nurses and radiology technologists and equipped with a full radiology suite and an accredited laboratory. Additionally the emergency room has full access to Dignity Health’s network of physicians and specialists.
