The deadline to apply for a Love of Learning Award from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is Sunday, October 1. Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all discipline honor society, will award 100 awards of $500 each to members nationwide.
Awarded twice a year, Love of Learning Awards help fund post-baccalaureate professional development for active Phi Kappa Phi members including graduate and professional studies, doctoral dissertations, continuing education, career development, travel related to teaching and research, and more. To be eligible, applicants must have completed their baccalaureate studies by the October 1 deadline.
“This award is tremendously helpful in that it alleviates a significant financial burden and allows me to focus on the content, rather than cost, of my upcoming medical licensing exam,” said Ross Morgan, a Session A award recipient from East Tennessee State University. “I am tremendously grateful to Phi Kappa Phi for supporting my journey towards becoming a physician.”
The Love of Learning Program gives 200 awards annually to Society members pursuing post-baccalaureate development. Since its inception in 2007, the program has awarded more than $575,000.
In addition to the Love of Learning Program, the Society awards $1.4 million each biennium to qualifying students and members through graduate fellowships, study abroad grants, member and chapter awards, and grants for local, national and international literacy initiatives.
