Dates and times for 2017-18 Washington men’s basketball schedule

Huskies open Pac-12 play at USC on Dec. 29.

The Washington Huskies men’s basketball released dates, times and TV information for its 2017-18 schedule.

The season begins with a pair of home non-conference games at Alaska Airlines Arena on Nov. 10 and Nov. 12 against Belmont and Eastern Washington respectively.

The Huskies fly to New York City for a couple of games in the 2K Sports Classic where they’ll face Providence 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 and either Virginia Tech or Saint Louis on Nov. 17 at Madison Square Garden.

UW returns for four home games against Seattle U (12 p.m., Nov. 24), UC Davis (5 p.m., Nov. 26), Kennesaw State (6 p.m., Nov. 28) and Nebraska Omaha (4 p.m., Dec. 3).

Washington faces Kansas 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

The Huskies finish the non-conference portion of its season with a four-game homestand against Gonzaga (5 p.m. Dec. 10), Loyola Marymount (3 p.m., Dec. 17), Bethune-Cookman (7 p.m., Dec. 19) and Montana (8 p.m., Dec. 22).

Washington begins Pac-12 play with three road games at USC (7:30 p.m., Dec. 29), UCLA (5 p.m., Dec. 31) and Washington State (1 p.m., Jan. 6).

The Huskies also play on the road at Utah (7 p.m., Jan. 18), Colorado (3 p.m., Jan. 20), Oregon (7 p.m., Feb. 8), Oregon State (7 p.m., Feb. 10), Stanford (6 p.m., Feb. 22) and California (1:30, Feb. 24).

UW’s Pac-12 home opener against California (8 p.m., Jan. 11) is followed by a home game against Stanford (5 p.m., Jan. 13). The other conference home contests are against Washington State (5 p.m., Jan. 28), Arizona State (8 p.m., Feb. 1), Arizona (7:30 p.m., Feb. 3), Utah (6 p.m., Feb. 15), Colorado (5 p.m., Feb. 17), Oregon State (8 p.m., March 1) and Oregon (March 3).

Due to the Pac-12’s unbalanced schedule, Washington will not host UCLA and USC. The Huskies will also miss the trip to Arizona and Arizona State.

The bulk of Washington’s conference games will be played on Thursdays and Saturdays, which is a return to the conference’s traditional scheduling format. UW also plays just four games later than 7:30 p.m. PT, which had been a reason to gripe from Husky fans.
