Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were photographed arriving at the premiere of “Maleficent” at Hollywood’s El Capitan theater in Hollywood on Wednesday (May 28, 2014). The power couple were all smiles as they walked the red carpet together. However, an incident happened when an infamous red carpet prankster named Vitalii Sediuk suddenly jumped the barrier and ran up to the 50-year-old actor while he was posing for photographs and signing autographs. The Ukrainian man struck Brad Pitt in the face before the “12 Years a Slave” star reportedly retaliating by punching him back.
The Golden Globe-winning actor was not seriously hurt and appeared to be unharmed. Authorities quickly arrested Vitalii Sediuk and the motive for the attack was not immediately known. The 25-year-old attacker was booked on suspicion of battery. He is currently being detained by LAPD and is being held on $20,000 bail.
This is not the first time Vitalii Sediuk has caused a ruckus at Hollywood events. The Ukrainian television reporter was last snapped hiding under America Ferrera‘s gown at a premiere during the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. Earlier this month, he streaked his way through the crowd at the Met Gala in a pink string bikini. In previous exploits, he tried to kiss Will Smith as well as hugged Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper’s crotch.
