Blind long snapper Jake Olson plays in USC’s victory over Western Michigan – Orange County Register

Jake Olson, who has been blind since the age of 12, entered the game for the USC Trojans during the fourth quarter against Western Michigan to snap the ball to kicker.

Olson’s snap was good and McGrath kicked a successful extra point following an 37-yard interception returned for a touchdown by Marvell Tell III.

As many fans of the Trojans know, Olson is no stranger to the USC family.

Below is the early part of Olson’s journey at the age of 12 and his introduction to the USC football program.

Prior to joining the Trojans as a player, Olson played for the Orange Lutheran High School football team.
