Benches clear in Dodgers-Angels game after Yunel Escobar gets hit – Orange County Register

ANAHEIM — At one point on Thursday night, the field at Angel Stadium mirrored the stands. Red and blue, all mixed together, emotions overflowing in the heat of the moment.

It all started in the eighth inning, after Angels’ third baseman Yunel Escobar was hit by a pitch from the Dodgers’ Brandon Morrow.

Escobar, who had been rather animated in drawing two walks earlier in the game against Clayton Kershaw, obviously suspected the Dodgers were throwing at him.
