Beekeeper goes all in on maternity photo shoot

The image of 20,000 bees latched onto a pregnant woman doesn’t exactly suggest maternal bliss. But for one Ohio woman, the swarm was picture-perfect.

Beekeeper Emily Mueller, 33, recently struck a pose with a swarm of honeybees, braving stings and internet scorn for the buzzy pics.

“Bees have been a huge part of our lives for the past few years so I wanted to incorporate them into something important to me — like my maternity photos,” the south Akron mother of three told South West News Service. “Bees represent life and death and they are very spiritual creatures.”
