“31 Days of Silence; Was It Justice or Just Us?”: a fact-based account of one family’s encounter with the federal justice system. “31 Days of Silence; Was It Justice or Just Us?” is the creation of published author J. C. Foster, a mother, grandmother, candlemaker, dog lover, and ordained minister who also happens to be an ex-inmate. During her incarceration, she studied theology and furthered and strengthened her faith and was ultimately awarded a degree in theology. Her hope is that her book will reach others in their own darkest times.
This book shares the testimony and grief of one family going through the struggles of unexpected incarceration. Those struggles involved losing family members, losing dignity and a sense of self, and finding faith when it seems impossible. It was written with the hope of helping others going through that same struggle—or any profound struggle, really.
Foster shares, “This book is for anyone and everyone: new inmates, old inmates, family members of those incarcerated, people of faith, people who know no faith as of yet. I hope it can find a way to help each of you and be there for you in difficult times. I hope that it will serve as a reminder that we are all human and are not perfect, that we are to trust in the Lord and to understand that the impossible is, in fact, possible. All suffering does have an end.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, J. C. Foster‘s new book is a potent and thought-provoking story of hope, perseverance, and faith in the darkest days of a family.
