New for 2017, the Concrete Polishing & Staining Conference and Expo (CP&S) is pleased to announce that it will offer attendees continuing education units from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Seven out of the 18 conference sessions are approved for AIA continuing education units.

Show manager of CP&S, Ryan Olson, states, “This is an exciting opportunity for current architects looking to continue their education and new architects working towards their license. With education for all skill levels, our courses offer something for architects at every stage in their career.”

Architects can further their education by taking technical and skill courses, as well as business management sessions. Courses range from Polished Concrete Fundamentals and Decorative Concrete Sealers & Densifiers for Polished Concrete to Setting Expectations Right (Away). For a complete list of the conference schedule, visit CPSconference.com/conference.

CP&S brings together architects, designers and specification writers; polishing contractors; flooring, resurfacing and coatings contractors; landscape hardscapers; and engineers. This three-day conference will take place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh on Oct. 5-7. Attendees are invited to attend conference sessions, tour the Exhibit Hall, and come early for the All-Day Leadership Boot Camp on October 4.

To fulfill AIA membership requirements, architects must earn continuing education credits every year. Some states also require continuing education credits to renew state licenses. AIA members are required to complete 18 Learning Units (one hour of continuing education earns one LU) from registered AIA/CES providers every year. For more information on continuing education requirements and if it is required in your state, visit the AIA website.

CP&S is presented by Concrete Contractor magazine, Polishing Contractor, ForConstructionPros.com and AC Business Media Construction Network brands.
