“As the integration of mPOS systems become more prevalent in retail environments, so does the need for mobile enabled cash drawers,” stated Stephen Bergeron, V.P. of Global Marketing. “POS peripherals need to address secure connectivity to iOS, Android and Win platforms as well as tablet power management. Retailers face a multitude of challenges when it comes to mobile for associates. APG offers mPOS solutions which can alleviate some of the issues these associates face, and can positively improve day to day business activities and the customer checkout experience.”

The TabletPRO™ 550 iPad Interface for Cash Drawers connects a cost-effective cash drawer to an Apple iPad tablet to facilitate a mobile point of sale environment. Store associates who remove the tablet to assist customers can capture a sale at the point of decision. The USBPRO™ 854 Interface for Cash Drawers supports the power management model of Windows 10 to conserve tablet battery life in mobile POS environments; therefore, a retailer will not lose out on any sales during mPOS transaction down time. Powered by the USB bus, external power is not required, providing true plug and play connectivity.
