Angels blow late lead in loss to White Sox – Orange County Register

CHICAGO — Carlos Perez made the most of a rare opportunity to start on Thursday, as most of the Angels regulars had the day off following their elimination from the playoff race.

Perez hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning of the Angels’ 5-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Perez came into the game with just one hit in 16 at-bats in nine games. He spent almost the entire season at Triple-A, losing playing time to Martin Maldonado and Juan Graterol.
