Accordion, the private equity focused financial consulting firm, today announced that it has hired John M. Jureller as Managing Director. Jureller’s hiring underscores Accordion’s commitment to supporting private equity sponsors and their portfolio company management teams develop and execute value creation plans. Accordingly, Jureller’s experience on both sides of the operations equation (as an operating executive at General Atlantic and as a CFO at Frontier Communications) makes him uniquely suited to serve and grow Accordion’s client roster of over 150 fund sponsors and portfolio companies.

The industry has embraced the importance of operational capabilities as a means to add value beyond the table stakes of sourcing and traditional deal structuring techniques. Moreover, value creation has been given greater prioritization by Limited Partners.
But, the industry has yet to define an operating partner paradigm and firms have begun to contract some of the outsized operations groups born over the last two decades. As a result, fund sponsors and their portfolio companies are looking for guidance vis-à-vis their operating playbooks and assistance executing value creation initiatives.
