“I Love Me: A love for every girl”: a story that encourages girls to love and accept themselves. “I Love Me: A love for every girl” is the creation of published author, Yonette Belinda, a children’s book author and Mom’s Choice Award winner who won for her first published work “We are Joined at the Heart.” After witnessing her daughter’s love of books, Yonette developed an interest in writing children’s books. She believes that books are tools that can be used to inspire imagination, shape thoughts, and foster confidence in children. She likes to use every writing experience as an opportunity to convey important messages and spark conversation.
“The character has a unique beauty, which needs to be seen by every girl. Her message to every girl is that she is gifted with a unique and intentional design by her creator. That greater purpose is revealed as she grows. Our character encourages confidence in one’s appearance, identity, value, and purpose. She teaches that every girl is unique and beautiful just as she is. She is beautiful before she puts on the glitter and decorative accessories that are appealing to the eyes. Her internal beauty outshines her outward adornment. She should not be compared to any other individual because she is a one of a kind being created for a special purpose. Her worth is beyond the image the she and others see.” –Yonette Belinda
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Yonette Belinda’s new book is a story about the beauty of all girls.
Beauty should not be described by a single image or held to a finite description. There is beauty in every person. It is, however, often left unseen due to a lack of nurturing. “I Love Me: A Love for Every Girl” testifies to every girl’s potential, greatness, and priceless worth. This story encourages girls to love and accept themselves.
All girls must learn that they have special gifts. They must learn to use them, because they are needed and part of a greater plan. All girls should be encouraged to accept that they are going to be different and that their differences make them special. The differences and the uniqueness of girls are to be praised.
